Hot Air Balloons

On hot air balloon day, the school walked to the cold grassy field to watch the hot air balloon inflate. The balloon was yellow, orange and red.
Mrs Thomson was the first to ride Wildfire. After Mrs Thomson, Mr Keogh went on. It was funny because Karen said, “How much money will you pay me if I keep the principal in the air?”
After Mrs Thomson and Mr Keogh had a ride, the school got to have a ride. Quinn was first. She told me that she was excited. I was next. I climbed into the basket. I was very excited. I think I went very high but the boys said I  was going low. The man put on the flames. The flames made hot air go into the big balloon. It was very scary and I looked over the cane basket and saw all the people on the ground looking like ants.
I had fun.

Swimming Sports

Yesterday, our school had our swimming sports at the Ngaruawahia Town Pools.
When the breaststroke was on, the 8 year old girls and boys and I waited to get in the pool. It was tense waiting for the whistle to go. Mr K raised his arm and said, “Ready, set.”

He blew the whistle. We were off. Quinn and I were in the lead. Quinn won. We were happy.
Quinn and I had fun. It was Awesome!!

Honey Bees

What I found out: A bee eats the pollen and spits it out and the pollen goes into honey and it stores it in a hive.
